On February 26, 2026, the iconic Palácio Nacional de Queluz hosted an exclusive event celebrating the design, heritage, and innovation of the historic French maison Pierre Frey.

Organized in partnership with Barreiros & Barreiros, the gathering marked the 90th anniversary of Maison Pierre Frey and 25 years of collaboration with the Portuguese company, bringing together guests from the world of architecture, interior design, and decoration, both nationally and internationally.

For the special occasion, some of the palace’s most emblematic rooms were transformed into an immersive journey showcasing Pierre Frey’s latest collections, including new fabrics, wallpapers, rugs, and furniture, staged to harmonize with the historical and aesthetic richness of the space.

The program began in the Sala dos Embaixadores, with an official welcome reception accompanied by a welcome drink. In this historically symbolic space, guests had the opportunity to begin their journey into the maison’s creative universe, in an environment that anticipates the elegance and eclecticism characteristic of Pierre Frey’s legacy.

Presentation of the new collections

The event continued its charm through the palace corridors to the Sala da Música. Here, in front of more than 150 attendees, the official presentation of Maison Pierre Frey’s 2026 Collection took place, a moment fully dedicated to discovering the brand’s latest creations. In this emblematic space of the Palácio Nacional de Queluz, guests followed an immersive path unveiling the brand’s new offerings in fabrics, wallpapers, rugs, and furniture.

The collection presented a creative vision reaffirming the maison’s identity, where tradition and innovation harmoniously coexist. Inspired by artistic references, cultural heritage, and contemporary influences, the pieces showcased the eclectic, sophisticated, and deeply narrative character that distinguishes the brand in the international decorative arts scene.

Formal dinner and celebration at Maison Pierre Frey

The evening grew even more enchanting with the opening of the doors of the iconic Sala do Trono for a celebratory dinner. This night brought together special guests for a dinner that not only celebrated Pierre Frey’s journey but also the strong and long-standing partnership with Barreiros & Barreiros.

Carefully planned by Joana Macedo, the event reflected the elegance and sophistication characteristic of Pierre Frey. Inspired by the elegance and geometry of French palace gardens, the solemn celebratory dinner brought to the iconic Palácio Nacional de Queluz the essence of the Jardin à la Française collection.

In a setting of extraordinary beauty, where crystal chandeliers illuminated the room’s historic gilding, the table décor reflected the spirit of the collection: a celebration of carefully designed nature, with delicate flowers, deep greens, and organic compositions evoking the formal gardens of French tradition.

Guests had the opportunity to relive key moments of the company’s trajectory, highlighting achievements, innovations, and the vision that has sustained its growth over the years.

Throughout the evening, tributes were paid, with special mention of Barreiros & Barreiros, whose collaboration has been essential to the continued success of Pierre Frey in Portugal. The dinner was served in an exquisite setting, with a culinary selection that complemented the celebratory experience.
